*clingz*

Just to make it perfectly clear to everyone: I love it here. I love it, I love it, I love it and I reallyreallyreally don't want to go back, kay?
No, I don't miss home and why should I? I hate it there, mkay?
The only thing that I miss are friends, Bambs, my computer and Ella.
That's it.
Geddit, dad? I know you won't read my blog because you don't even know it exist and even if you did know you wouldn't understand it but I just need to rant somewhere right now.
I sosososo don't want to go back. It's so nice and clean in here, I'd never have to worry about sub-zero temperatures inside the house during winter, no need to worry about creepy-crawlies all around me and I just KNOW that my room will be filled with Forficulas (I think that's the right name for them in english) just like every fucking year, and yes it has turned into a phobia already. I hate those things, they disgust me, the are everywhere in late summer / early autumn.
Gah, I don't want to go back.
And yes, I'm totally freaking out about the fact that in 5 days I have to go back.
*shudder*

Abby: Jethro is fine. I'm taking up a collection for flowers.
McGee: Why would I give flowers to a dog who attacked me?
Abby: Maybe because dog is man's best friend. Or maybe because I am a forensic scientist and I can boil you from the inside out and never leave a trace.

Books, books, books. I NEED MORE BOOKS!

So what is the one thing I've been doing those past two weeks?
Reeeeaaaadddd. I've read and read and read.
It's such a nice thing to sit outside on the porch, reading some great book.
Anyway, when we were in Kuressaare Kaja bought three books from the department store. (Yes we do have a bookstore... I mean book corner... I mean shelf.)

Hercule Poirot: Meisterlikud mõrvad

In this book are 2 longer stories and 3 or 4 shorter stories, all incredibly compelling and with very unexpected solutions. It didn't take me too long to read even tough there are almost 600 pages. The whole thing is just so interesting that you have to finish it before putting it down.
Must read if you are into crime investigation and such. Sometimes action isn't needed.

A song of Ice and Fire: A game of Thrones 1
& A Clash of the Kings 2

As you see, it makes sense that those are the books 1 and 2 of the series, but what we found out later, was that they are actually 1 and 4. Ohwell.
I tried reading it, It seems really intetresting, but a bit too heavy for summer. It was pretty dark and dramatic. Kaja read both of them, though I must ashamedly tell you that I didn't get past chapter 1.
Of course if you are looking for hours of reading and a very deep, interesting, dramatic story then definitely read this.
The only thing Kaja told me was annoying about that book was the fact that it has so many characters it's a bit tough to keep up with who's whose niece and whose sister and whose dog and so on.
There are 8? books in the series, 4 are translated (game of thrones 1&2; clash of the kings 1&2.)

Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.
When we went to Tartu Bambs bought Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and I bought the Titan's Curse. Those are books 1 and 3 in the series. Before I came to Finland I lent book 1 from Bambs and I hoped to find book to (The Sea of Monsters) from a bookstore here, but I never did find it in english and quite frankly I doubt that buying that in finnish would be any good.
The Lightning Thief is beyond my expectations. If you have seen the movie then know, that the book is about a billion times better (in my humble opinion)
Some knowledge in greek gods and stuff would be nice, but not neccessary.
The book is funny, there is lots of action and the whole thing will keep you guessing till the very last pages. Everything you would expect from a good book.

And the most recent books I bought are these:

I have the first two. I just wish I had bought the third aswell.
All three are 300+ pages, so they keep you occupied for quite a while and since I haven't actually finished either yet (halfwah through first) then I'mma just copy the summary wiki gives us of Wicked lovely

Wicked Lovely is the first novel in a series about a world where faeries and mortals intermingle. The story introduces Aislinn, a teen who can see the faeries around her, but who has been taught all her life to pretend not to see them. She is struggling to cope with the faeries when Keenan, the faery Summer King, enters her life and takes away her mortality, asking her to become the Summer Queen and defeat his mother, the Winter Queen. If she refuses, Winter will take over and kill all the summer faeries and mortals alike. However, Aislinn has no desire to become part of the faerie world, and is already in love with her best friend, Seth. In the end, she cannot avoid becoming the Summer Queen, and reigns alongside Keenan over the creatures she once feared. Upon defeating the Winter Queen, Aislinn brings peace to the world of fey. She also sticks with her best friend and new lover, Seth.

So basically there is romance, there is the dark, interesting side... So far I've loved that book, I hope that the ending is as interesting as the first half has been.

And I think that's about it. yeah, probably.

Well, doodles!

Willkommen!

Hahaaa! I gots TWO new flaggies onto my flaggiecounter. German and Belgian.
Dang I'm awesome.

Anyway. Yesterday Kaja&Ken took me to this reeeaaallly fancy restaurant/Golf/mansion/hotel thingy for a lunch. I WANNA LIVE THERE, kthx.

It was GORGEUS. The inside was even prettier than the outside. But this isnt where we ate. The mansion part is apparently a hotel during summer and then only the hotel guests eat there so we had to go across the street to the golf club.
Dear Lord, it was awesome. The food was good too.
I mean the restaurant had a view to the golf courses and if you have ever seen a golf course, you know it's amazing.
We have one in Kuressaare too, if you are pondering.

So all in all the place was amazing. If you want to see the rest of the pictures, you should already know where to look, but I'mma help you out.
Clicky here.

In other news, Bambi brought my attention to the fact that I still hadn't watched that trailer for vampires suck movie and so I watched it.
*insert hysterical laughter here*

And guess what? It has already leaked to the internet. I saw it like an hour ago.
Geesh, it's epic. epic-epic-epic.

The actors are great, there are lots of hilarious moments, and it pretty much sums up the first two Twilight movies. Also the ending is hilarious.
So as soon as you can - watch it, it's worth it.

Shopping! Planes! Fiskars!

Soooo... I was supposed to make a blog post yesterday but, again, I was so tired that I just sorta went *poof* and fell asleep. My bad.
anyway.
First of all.

Our very own chatgroup had a 1-year birthday a couple of days ago so...

Now up until yesterday nothing much happened. We read, we watched TV and we whined about the 34 degree heat outside. Cept yesterday we went to this adorable little Fiskars village.

Absolutely beautiful red brick houses, tiny country roads and well lots of souvenires. It was fun. I gots meself a cute glass fishy and Kaja got a pair of iron candle holders.

As you might have figured out already, in that village was the original Fiskars knife factory and stuffs. Now it's a major tourist attraction.

As a proof that I actually did go there and didn't just save those pictures from some random persons album...
It was really hot outside and Kajas partner, who had previously went there aswell told us that there were lots of walking in the sun, so it was only fitting that both Kaja and I wore pretty much all black. I mean it makes sense, no?
This, believe it or not, was a phone booth. Make what you will of that.

That pretty much concludes yesterday. Kaja and I took a walk later on and watched the trins go by and stuffs. Was fun.
But anyway. On to todayyy.
Today we went shopping to a big Store called Jumbo.
I gots meself this awesomesauce dress that I loved from the moment I tried it on.
At first when I saw it I didn't think much of it but thankfully my sisters persuaded me to try it on. DAYUM it's an awesome dress.
Ignore the awkwardness and Katjas ear. I LOVE THAT DRESS.
Anyway. After we went to the store where we bought the dress, we went to H&M. When I walked through the security gates, the alarm went off. I didn't think much of it as there was a bunch of other people walking through the gates at the same time so I figured it was because of them.
So we looked through the store, found nothing of interest and walked out again. As I walked through, the alarm went off again. This time it was only us three (Kaida was with us, too) so it was quite obvious that it was me who triggered the alarm. So I walked into the store and back again to check.
So basically I triggered the dang alarm 4 times and no-one even blinked. I must say that even thoug it's a big store, the security there is pretttttty loose.
Anyway we went back to the previous store (the security gates to that store didn't even blink, so to speak) and they found some security thingy was forgotten and well, after showing the receit we got some gift certificate as a refund for our... troubles.
In the next store, Kaja triggered the bloody alarm. That time it was probably just like the keys or the mobile or something because she hadn't bought anything yet.
After that, it became quite uneventful.

Also, I went to the bookstore in there aswell but it didn't have the book I was looking for, Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters.
Dannng I want that book.

Aaaaanyway, today there's Lord of the Rings on TV so we are going to watch that soon.
That's it for now.
Hopefully something interesting will happen soon so that I can make another blog post. I must say that compared to last month I have made wayyy too few blog posts.
Soyeah. Bye.

P.S: More pictures here.
I wonder how could he have been able to invent all this stuff. It feels more like Tolkien discovered some sort of long-lost scrolls.

Movie review-ish thingy. Twilight: Eclipse

Kay, so me, Kaja and Kaida went to the cinema today. AND IT. WAS. EPIC!!!!

The cinema, not the movie.

So let me tell you bout the movie. First of all, the beginning? Hilarious. I was so sure I'm going to burst out laughing and they are going to kick me out but thankfully I didn't. But cometh the ending, cometh the boredom. About halfway through I was ready to walk out because I was booooreeed.

Anyway since there was pretty uch no plot in the movie I might as well tell you my vision of the characters.

Also, apparently I'm not taking over Kajas laptop for the difficult job that is blogging, because it only has Internet Explorer and even that's in /Finnish/ I mean geesh...
So I'm going to have to use this pink excuse for a laptop. At least it has firefox and itäs in estonian.

Anywho, here goes...

Isabella Swan

She is, in short, a suicidal teenager who also indulges in necrophilia and zoophilia. If that doesn't sound like a lead character for some horror movie, I don't know who will...
Also, has masochistic tendencies.

Edward Cullen

A creepy stalker and an abusing boyfriend. Obsessed with Bella. Should probably be put in a straightjacket and locked away in a room with soft walls. Also suicidal even though he's dead. Complete lunatic. Also, he sparkles in the sun. Probably as a result of too much time playing with the glitter. I'm not even going to go into the fact that he's a pedophile.

Jacob Black.

Another weirdo, obsessed with Bella. Again, suicidal. It's becoming a pattern, don't you think?
Belongs to some kind of pack of lychanthropes. And, apparently, is made of rubber. You'll know what I mean when you hear what sound it makes when Bella hits Jacob in the face. Rubber.

Carlisle Cullen

The sadistic doctor, who likes to re-break peoples bones with no anesthetic. Scary stuff.

Alice Cullen

The Luna Lovegood-ish girl, who believes herself to be the Oracle and tends to black out at random times.

Jasper Hale

Believes hiself to have fought in the Civil War. Obsessed with Alice. Believes himself to be able to control other peoples emotions.

Rosalie Hale

One of the more normal people from the mental hospital that is Forks. Not as retarded as the others, but still enough to be there in the first place.

Esme Cullen? Not important enough to be shown more than once.

I could go on, but I think I have offended enough people for one time. Might as well quit while I'm ahead.

Anyway, the movie was probably awesome for all Twilight fans, lots of pretty scenes and of course, the reason they are as popular as they are, lots of kissy scenes.
And some actionscene wannabe.

Ohwell. On with stuff about me.
me, me, ME

Some odd posts ago, I told you that I haven't got any good pictures of Katja because she's always running around and stuff. Well in here, I have a perfect scenery for the perfect model. So here it is. FIRST TIME IN PORTRAIT, KATJAA!!! *applause*

I absolutely ADORE this picture. Click to enlarge, obviously. And my gosh she's pretty. Everything from her Yellow-golden eyes (If anyone dares to even think about Twilight, I'mma let her eat you.) to her awesome fur just screames beautiful dog. *sigh*

Now, at some point Pat asked me where was I on all the pictures. You want to see me?
meh, I guess I'll have to show you then.

Me, in all my glory. Taken on the Sõrve Säär, where we went a day before coming to Finland. Lots of pretty pictures from there are here.

What else should I talk about?

Ooh, right. One thing that I love taking pictures of?
Sleeping Lucky. He's always so completely cute I just can't pass the opportunity.

Talk about squee. This was taken on the ship to Helsingi.

Mosquito apartment at Kajas flowerbed. I'll refrain from commenting.

Soyeah. That's about it for today. Just check out the album here and as if you want to know anything else, kay?

I'm in Finland, bitches.

Okay so before I even start telling you anything I must say that at the moment it's 23:21, I'm dog tired and all I've got to work with is a pink minicomputer.
Pink Mini, people! Do you know how odd that is??
Jeebus. Anyway.

Right now? No pictures. Not in this weird thingy and besides half of the old ones are in the other computer so you'll get some new ones tomorrow. that is the 11th I hope. No promises though.

Anyway, since I'm having trouble describing anything that has happened since my last post, I'mma skip right to today.

I started packing yesterday about 10pm or something. Don't ask why I didn't pack earlier. Very out of character but whutevs.
We were supposed to wake up around 7am but Lucky ate something bad and was sick in the evening before bed and around 4am he woke me by trying to get into bed. I thought what the heck, he looked pretty bad in the evening so I'mma let him come.
Lucky on the other hand decided that I don't need a blanket and he can use it to build a bed for himself and sleep under it. I woke up about half an hour later to Kaida asking where Lucky is.
I managed to win my blanket back and Lucky figured that if Iäm a human and Kaida is a human, he must be one too. My arm apparently made a very nice pillow and blanket was nice and warm and so he slept. Cept have you ever had a dog brething into your ear? You try sleeping like that.
Pretty impossible. So after another fifteen minutes I moved Lucky to the foot of the bed.
Then Kaida started breathing into my ear.
Screw this, I have some packing to do anyway.
And so I got up and packed a couple of other things. a bit after 5am I got back upstairs and realised Lucky was up. Then Kaida decided it would be a great time to remind me that Lucky has drank a whole bowl of water and he probably needs to pee.
I made it to thefront door. While I was putting on my shoes Lucky decided that he can't wait any longer and he produced a nice little pool.
10 cm from the door.
Great. Lucky back upstairs and myself downstairs to clean up.
Which also took me a while. Then battle off Ella and - bed again. sweet.
5:30am. Not so bad. I should be able to get in about an hour and half.
But not quite. I then realized I was having difficulty falling asleep again.
Lingstory short I did fall asleep about 30 minutes later and then woke up to Kaida panicing about the fact that we slept in and need to get going in 40 minutes.
Meh. I hate sleeping in.
And believe it or not the rest of the trip was quite uneventful.
Katja was pretty calm dureing the drive, didn't throw up /too/ much... Lucky slept most of the time...
The shipride was awful though. There was some bachelours party sorta thing in the table across from ours. 7 LOUD, OBNOXIOUS dudes and on dude in a speedo doing stupid stuff.
THE WHOLE FRIKKIN 2 HOURS.
I was ready to strangle them all.

Also, it's 30degrees C outside and may get even hotter.
Dear lord.

Pictures tomorrow when I figure out how to work this thing [Read: hijack Kajas regular laptop]
Which of course isn't carved in stone. I mean we are going to Flamingo to watch Twilight:Eclipse and we are picking up Kaida and going by her place and stuff so I might be pretty tired again when we get back.
Well okay let's be honest here. They are going to watch Eclipse. I'm going for a laugh and lotsa candy.

Talk to ya'll tomorrow I s'pose.

This is the computer I'm on right now and trust me, it's smaller than it looks.
and it's /pink/
Also the keyboard is different. Finnish and all that crap.
Anyway. Bye for now.

Katjaaaa~

So the week has passed and exept for one small blog update I haven't written anything.
well I'mma tell you a bit more about that week now.
This morning, as the dogs around me were barking and people laughing and yelling and all, I started thinking and I came to realize a couple of things.

1. June is over. OVER, people!
That means that in 2 short months we'll be going back to school. 1/3 of our vacation is GONE.
Just thought I should point that out.

2. Before Kaida came, I went to bed at 3-5 am and woke up around 2pm to the sun shining through my curtains. When they came, I had to move downstairs onto the couch with Kaida, which means that I now go to be by 11pm and wake up around 6-8 am to dogs running over me, under me, near me, above me and so on.

3. The couch is much less comfy than my bed.

4. Katja is HUGE. Like half my weight and on two paws she's probably as tall as me. On all fours she's up to my waist at least.

5. You haven't seen NOTHING until you've seen a tiny daschund humping a giant wolfdog.
Humping. As in I-might-be-3-months-old-and-weigh-4-kg-but-I-want-your-babies. They say it's some domination game but seriously that is just so wrong on so many levels.
And seriously, Katja is about 10 times bigger and 7 times heavier.

6. Ella can climb on pretttty tiny branches if she wants. Katja just wants to play with her but well you'd be scared too if a giant furry barking thing came flying towards you. I'm talking about Katja, not Lucky.

7. Ella likes Lucky. Well well enough not to claw his nose open.

8. Lucky likes to chase after Ella and when he catches her he tries to pull off her ears.

9. Lucky and Katja are scary when they play. Luckys head is constantly in Katjas mouth and she is growling and they are jumping around and it sounds and looks like he is about to be Katjas dinner. Of course they don't really hurt each other, it's just a game, but still. Just looks like one of them is really angry.

10. Lucky likes to grab a mouthful of Katjas hair around her stomach or tail because that's the only place he can reach, and then hang on. Katja is not pleased.

11. Max likes Katja. He keeps trying to chase her cept he's so old that while Katja doesa circle around the house, Max is still taking off. It's sorta sad.

12. I'm not very fond of big dogs. I prefer cats and small dogs. Dogs I know I can contain if I'm threatened. If Katja feels like eating me for breakfast, I'm a goner.
Mom thinks that now I can't go to Finland to be with Kaja for a couple of weeks.
Jeebus, woman, I've lived with Max for 15 years. I think I can manage... =_=

13. My '*½ button next to the Enter button is pretty broken. Just sayin'.

14. I hatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatexinfinity mosquitoes.
It is so hot in here that we have to keep a window open when we sleep and therefore when I wake up I always have a ton of new bites. And the sound of them flying around my face is maddening.

14. The water is really warm. I wanna go to the beach and swim but I can't. meh.

15. The corner of my mouth has been broken for a week and it's not even thinking about getting better. I can't even yawn anymore.

16. Strawberries are delicious. The summer weather and heat has payed off and now I can officially go to the yard and pick some fresh strawberries whenever I want. Yummalicious.

17. I havent been on the computer for more than half an hours in a week.

18. The new passport is red which I hate and my picture on the ID card has the outlines of estonia or smth and it makes me look like I have a unibrow. completely horrible.

And that's when Katja decided that she would stick her cold nose into my back and kick my head with her tail and then I decided that I give up and get out of bed. It was 7am.

pictures? Duh.

Pretty view from Panga Pank. And look, Kairi! We are all alive. Kelly didn't jump and all the Finns are still here and alive aswell. Ignore that the horizon is tilting dangerously to the right.

We did have the option to climb down. For some reason nobody took it.

Lucky didn't really think that Ella needs all that fur. She has a lot so she might aswell share, no?

Kaida and I were bored. Done in one day, 500 pieces and took about 4 hours?

Again, bored. 600 pieces, two days and lotsa hours. One piece was missing aswell. Mneh.

Sorry, didn't have a better picture, They wre jumping around so much that I couldn't get a decent picture to save my life. Besides I was afraid she was going to go all blood-hungry when I took too many pictures using the flash.

But you might get a better picture by watching this:

Ignore the background noise kthx.
