Ohshit.

So I went walking with Birgit today. And it was brilliant. I mean we were sitting basically over the beach, looking out onto the sea and she helped me learn russian.
God the weather was AMAZING. there was no wind. At All. The sea was like glass, so calm and peaceful and totally still. It was the most gorgeus sight I have ever seen.

It's days like these that put thoughts like WHAT AM I THINKING, TRYING TO GET INTO A SCHOOL THAT'S ACROSS COUNTRY AND HAS LYK NO SEA. ATALL! ANDANDAND MY FRIENDS?!?!?!?!?! NUUU I'LL JUST STAY HOME AND BECOME A JANITOR AND LIVE IN MY MOMMYS AND DADDYS HOME FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER ♥
No but seriously, I'm so going to miss this...
That is, of course, IF I get in.
Not very likely but a girl can dream
anyhow. I did't get home till 8pm for the second night in a row and I must say that this social life thing is exhausting. My poor legs will soon fall off and run away. Screaming.
Come to think of it, lots of things seem to do that around me.

In other news, I preordered Marked from the house of night series (Couldn't resist XD)

It's going to be weekend soon! yay!

NCIS started airing again along with NCIS: LA last tuesday
Castle started airing last monday
Brothers&Sisters started airing last Sunday
SGU will start airing next tuesday and Sanctuary in October somewhere

Kaida is probably coming home next weekend, on the day of the Saaremaa rally. And the Kaja is coming somewhere at the end of October.
Awesome!

Tomorrow is going to be the biology school-wide olympiad.
Awesome.

And that's about it I think.

Email posting: Test.

So I just discovered Email posting for my blog and thought I’d try it out.

I also have some news.

Apparently this schoolyear is not going to be as hectic as I first thought. Biggest reason being that the õpitoad thingy I signed up for is not going to happen. Most likely not going to happen, anyway. Reason is simple: not enough people to make the once-a-month trip here worth it.

Sad, I know but we still have some time to get some poeple together. I doubt that it’s going to happen but I guess we’ll see.

Also Russian sucks.

EDIT: yay! It works!

also they have fixed the clock gadget so it finally looks all nice and purple not some stupid white and blue. I was just thinking about changing it for something else so their timing is perfect.

&&& ALSO I got my computer back.

600EEK for cleaning out some dust. Thieves...

OMFG, science night!!

so this week has been epic. Epic i tell you!!!!!!

It was natural scince week and dear lord, I'm going to have to start from the beginning.

Monday, 20.09

What happened on monday? Not much I guess.

Tuesday, 21.09

Science thingyabob competition with percentage thingies. We were in like wayyyyy over our heads BUT managed to beat couple of 10th grades if I remember correctly.

Wednesday, 22.09

Natural sciences brain-and-brawn competition. Basically you have to run to the designaed place, where they give you a question about the topic you chose earlier (physics, chem, bio or geography, there are two of each so 8 people have to compete in one team. and then you answer that, run back and the next one can go and run to the place where she gets her question and so on till the last person.
Anyway last year we won and this year? well 1-2 place, we share with 7th.
I chose biology and when I got my question I, totally on autopilot answered the question "who is the biggest rodent in estonia?
a) rat
b) squirrel
c) beaver
d) badger"
Without even thinking about it I underlined beaver, gave back the question slip and ran back.
The rest of the day was angsting over stuff like THERE'S NO WAY THE CORRECT ANSWER WAS BEAVER, IS BEAVER EVEN A RODENT?!?!?!?!?!
until I finally got to a computer ad found out, that indeed, estonias biggest rodent is a beaver.

Thursday, 23.09

Geography olympiad. I know I failed royally but quite frankly I never expected anything from that so I'm happy I even got like one question answered. Geography has never been my strong suit.
BUT after that, there was the natural science quiz andandand... If I remember correctly last year? we won. This year? omigosh WE WON, WE WON!!!
Some of the questions were extremely easy, some of them were extremely difficult and some of them we just guessed by a process of elimination and crap like that. Was fun.
Anyway. ALSO on thursday was the 1-3 grade natural sciences quiz that our teacher asked us to create the questions and later correct them and stuff like that. Apparently when we were making the questions we underestimated them BIG TIME.
in the end there were 9 teams competing. 3 first places, 1 second place and 5 third places.
*ahem*
yeah. anyway that was mad fun and I'd be so awesome if there were more events like that, that we could help organize.

And now for the BIG DAY.
THE. BIG. DAY.
24.09 TEADLASTE ÖÖ

hohohoho. Now that was possibly one of the awesomest days of my life. Well it ranks pretty high up there anyway.
First during school, prizes for the natural science week were awarded.
OVERALL WE CAME FIRST
which was bloody awesome.
so we got our prizes ( a pen for the run thing, some sticker things for the quiz and a box of candy for the overall win.)

and then, after classes the reeeeal fun begun.
We went to SÜG for that was the place the first event we signed up was to take place.
And that event? CSI: lahkamine
WE GOT TO CUT OPEN A PIGS EYE AND IT WAS AWESOME BEYOND WORDS.
seriously
I have pictures too but I'm going to upload them to livejournal and then link 'em to you to make sure that people who don't want to see the pictures get to enjoy my blog too.
PICTURES HERE (not for the faint-hearted, obv.)
Adult content notice added just in case.

after that we went to the bookstore and then met up with some of Katis friends, they went to some karate meeting thingymajingy and Birgit and I tagged along for lack of anything better to do.
Then we terrorized some kindergarden and people who live near it.
AND THEN astronomy lecture thingy B)
awesomeawesomeawesomeawesomeAWESOME
we got to listen to some intereting talk, we LOADS of awesomesauce pictures and uuuh it was awesome.
And then we dragged ourselves home and watched the teadlaste öö programme on ETV.
During which I may or may not have almost fallen asleep.

Also during the week:
We got our this years class picture.
Well we had to make it memorable, didn't we? It's our last year together.

And my computer was taken to the shop to be repaired.
*sigh* I miss it already.

Anyway that concludes the week of awesomeness.
doodles!

Blog! ♥♥♥

So I got the sudden urge to write in my blog again seeing as I haven't done that in a while.
And I remembered that hey! I have a ton of pictures that I've been meaning to post.

Soyeah.

First of all: Apples! ♥ Applesapplesapples.
You just have to love those things.

These are the sweetes, most awesomest, tastiest, sweetest and sweetest apples you will everever get.
did I mention how awesome they are?

I just love this picture. it looks so edible.

Some apples. It's not like we have a whole lot of them or anything.

RUN! there's a giant flaming meteorite coming this way!!
It's the apocalypse!!
Took this picture last week or smth, wanted to take a walk alone and decided to bring the camera. T'was nice.

So Ella was sick for awhile, we found out it was because she has got bitten by some cat (we have a lot of strays here so they are probably not very happy about a new cat intruding on their territory and she's too young to fight back.) and yeah.
If you want to see a picture of her right after coming back from the vets then here it is, but I warn you it's not for the faint-hearted!!! link.

Anyway to prevent her from lcking it she was in the neck tutu thingy.
I thought she looked extremely cute but for some reason, she did not agree.
And when we finally took it off a week or so later she had revenge by trying to destroy a bag of potatoes.
There was dirt and potatoes everywhere.
Anyway. First of September. To celebrate that holy day I will upload a picture of me. YAY!
sothere.
Mmm... what else??
Right, suicide prevention day yesterday. (EDIT: I started writing this blog on 8th of september so as far as this post is concerned, the awareness day is actually two days from now. So just to clear up some confusion: it's on 10th of September.)
Did you know that every 40 seconds someone in the world commits suicide?
If you fear that someone you know might be suicidal you can read this page to find out about the signs and learn what you can do to help.

Because everyone deserves to live.

Andandand finally this song.
(I hope that by the time you read this post the video hasn't been taken down already, apparently EMI music is killing all youtube videos with the song in them.
But it's just /that/ good.

So guess what?

I was just randomly surfing the web today and I just happened to stumble upon this page.
It looks pretty awesome even though it's not completely done yet but whoever created the page itself must be pure genius (I'm shameless, I know...)

soyeah check it out.

And also, I love this song.
Just sayin'.

School! Again! Noway!

So since I like to whine a lot. And talk a lot. Preferably both at the same time, then I'm going to do just that right now.
And what's the best topic to whine about? School, obviously. So I'm going to do an in-depth whineypost considering my schedule and stufflikethat.
Feel free to skip, it's not like I can force you to read it.

Anyway. Starting tomorrow.

1. Chemistry
2. Physics
3. Geography
4. English
5. Biology
6. Maths

not too bad, cept that all those classes have lots of books and heavy stuff we have to carry. And usually come woth lots of homework. But when we finally get our lockers it should get better.
I hope they don't waste too much time before assigning lockers out, I really don't want to carry around my PE stuff and arts stuff and school stuff all day long.
I feel like a bloody camel as it is.
Also we have two books in physics this time. Two annoyingly heavy books. Also maths as the last lesson always feels like pulling teeth. It just won't get done but when it finally does, it feels pretty damn good.
Ooh and we have shiny new books in english. Like new-new not used-by-god-knows-how-many-people-and-years-before-new.

Right. Friday

1. Russian
2. Biology
3. Geography
4. Maths
5. Art
6. P.E

Russian as the first lesson? Ew. And art and P.E on the same day and right after each other no less. Double-ew. Carrying art stuff to school is annoying enough. Carrying P.E stuff to school is annoying enough.. Both at the same time is murder.
And our russian book weighs about a ton. And then some.

aaand on to Mondayy.

1. No lesson
2. Russian
3. Chemistry
4. uhh.... Community thing? Idunno. Ühiskonnõpetus
5. Estonian
6. Handcrafts
7. Music
8. History

yay! no first lesson !!
The community thingymajingy is a new lesson for us. last year we had Health instead of that. Now we have to learn about politics and stuff. Doesn't help that the teacher giving us that particular reason is the much feared tank. Scary stuff. I also reallyreally hope that none of my teachers will ever find my blog. Ever.
Also I despise handcrafts in the middle of the day. I mean it's much better off as a last lesson, if you want to finish off you can stay a bit longer if necessary, you don't have to go rushing off to the next lesson.
We also have a new music teacher and apparently he is going to be wayyyyyyyy more strict that the one we had so far. Eugh. Music is not meant for studying, it's meant for getting to blow some steam off after a long schoolday.
And history as the last lesson is a lot like maths as the last lesson. Maybe a bit less painful. But just a little bit.

Tuesday ..

1. No Lesson (!!)
2. Community thing
3. Estonian
4. Estonian
5. English
6. Maths
7. Maths
8. Career thing

Wohoo, two days in a row with getting to sleep till 8am. Sweeeeeet. Of course the problem is that while double estonian sucks bricks on it's own, they just had to go and slap that double maths under it. They just had to.
The career thing is new for us aswell. I bet it's going to be much easier than community thingy though. No tanks there.

And finally wednesday which completes our circle.

1. English
2. Estonian
3. Maths
4. Physics
5. History
6. uuuhm... Kirjandiõpetus. Make what you will of that.
7. P.E
8. Russian

I can just tell from looking at it that I'm going to hate wednesdays so much... Estonian and maths, back-to-back. followed by physics and /history/??? Cruel. And to top it off that combo is folllowed by kirjandiõpetus. The teacher of which already hates us (She was our arts teacher last year and she swore that if she has anything to say about it, she will not under any circumstances teach us anything this year. Apparently she didn't have a say about it. I won't go into details about that particular case but it might have involved 29 students giving their signatures to get either another teacher for arts or to cancel the class alltogether. I'm not saying it did though.)
anyway, when it comes to hardlearning classes, P.E is the combobreaker. But I doubt that after all that crap I'll have much fight in me left for physical activities.
And then russian. On a scale from 1 to pain, russian is usually Ow. But russian as the eight lesson probably breaks off the scale and runs away screaming.
Russian as the eight lesson after estonianmathsphysicshistorykirjand combo shoots itself in the head, hangs itself and drowns itself.
Soyeah expect lots of OHMYGODWHYDOWEDNESDAYSHAVETOEXIST?!?!?!?! posts in the near future.

So I'm finally done talking. For now.
